Grigri Pixel 2019. Call for African initiatives.

We hereby open this call for citizens’ initiatives of creative experimentation of African origin, to participate in the international workshop which will be held in Medialab Prado from 14 to 27 October 2019, within the framework of the fourth edition of the Grigri Pixel programme with the support of ​ACERCA Programme of Spanish Cooperation.

You can send your proposal in up to 30 June 2019.
Date and place of publication of the selection of ideas: 5 July 2019 on the Medialab Prado website.

Steps to submit your proposal:

—> Send your project proposal by clicking below in "Send My Proposal" and attach a document (maximum 1200 words) providing a concrete proposal that will serve as a starting point from which to design the workshop, in dialogue with the team of mentors and the other African initiatives that have been selected.  This document must include the following information:

• What practices and experiences facilitate hospitality and welcome in your city?

• In what way, from the initiative to which you belong, are you trying to create spaces for “neighbourhood” meetings and relationships between people of different origins?

• What local learning and experiences, in your city, do you think might be applicable and could contribute to making Madrid a more hospitable city?

• If you had to propose an action and/or object to materialize any of these concepts (hospitality, the idea of “us”, the common identity of “neighbours”...) Which one or ones would you choose? If you need to incorporate an image, attach it to the attached file box.

Destiné aux initiatives citoyennes pour l’expérimentation créative d’origine africaine, cet appel est une invitation à participer à l’atelier international qui se tiendra au Medialab Prado du 14 au 27 octobre 2019 dans le cadre de la quatrième édition du programme Grigri Pixel avec le soutien de le ​Programme ACERCA de Coopération Espagnole​,

Pour postuler à cet appel:

—> Les initiatives candidates à cet appel devront remplir le formulaire en cliquant "Send My Proposal" qui devra être accompagné d'un document (1 200 mots maximum) décrivant une proposition concrète qui servira de point de départ pour élaborer le déroulement de l'atelier, à travers un dialogue avec l'équipe de conseillers et les autres initiatives africaines sélectionnées. Ce document devra répondre aux questions suivantes :

• Dans votre ville, quelles sont les pratiques et expériences favorisant l’hospitalité et l’accueil ?

• De quelle manière l’initiative à laquelle vous participez s’efforce-t-elle de créer des espaces de rencontre et de « relations de voisinage » entre personnes d’origines différentes ?

• Dans votre ville, quelles sont les enseignements et expériences locales qui, selon vous, pourraient s’appliquer à Madrid et contribuer à rendre la capitale espagnole plus hospitalière ?

• Si vous deviez proposer une action ou une chose illustrant l’une de ces idées (hospitalité, notion de « nous », identité commune de « co-habitants »...), quelle(s) serai(en)t-elle(s) ? Si vous souhaitez ajouter une image, insérez-la dans l’encadré prévu à cet effet.
