Simon Whitehouse

Simon provides digital consultation services in the areas of open data, social media and creative digital projects. He helps organise and run a variety of events. These include the HyperWM unconference, Brewcamp coffee, cake and digital technology evenings and hack/development labs such as the Arts Dev Lab for the Hello Culture Conference, Birmingham.

His ethos is that everybody has the potential to make a contribution and should be encouraged and helped to do so, without being forced.  He has recently been working with the Open Data Institute as series lead on their Open Data Challenge Series looking at Crime and Justice. He is also a co-founder of Data Unlocked, a new co-operative venture formed to offer open data consultancy and software that provides social benefit. He enjoys the stimulation of working in creative environments that bring together people from different disciplines.
