Internet of Things - IoT - evokes a near future in which daily objects are interconnected to a global network. Thanks to the invention of open, low cost solutions, it is possible to easily and inexpensively develop prototypes. Several practical workshops using the Arduino platform as well as presentations on the opportunities and implications of this technological device will take place.
During the day we will present the project Air Quality Egg, in which various collectives are participating in order to create a citywide network of air quality open sensors.
The mass use of the Internet of Things (IoT) has led to the multiplication of available IP addresses. For that reason, it is necessary to migrate to IPv6. We will offer a brief introduction to the protocol as well as practical examples of communication among Nanode boards, using one of the ENC28J60 Ethernet chips.
Registration is open to any person interested in exploring IoT. Access is not dependable on previous technical knowledge. Similarly, any individual or collective wishing to present or propose workshops, projects, prototypes or initiatives related to Internet of Things can do it through this form.
