"The purpose of this communication is to analyze the appearance and circulation of innovations between digital and non-digital environments, or more precisely, between digital and non-digital sides of environments of social practices. As a result of the huge presence of ICT in everyday life, very few practices (if any) can be made today without the mediation of technology. So, traditional environments of social practices such as home, city, education, work, culture, leisure, etc., have been technologized and greatly expanded. Similarly, notions such as identity, privacy, security, and social participation have expanded their definition frameworks.

Hence, ICT are not only tools mediating social practices. Being elements that redefine spaces and discourses, they also affect the underlying values and social representations. Therefore, we deal everyday with hybrid environments (non-digital and digital at a time) of practices, representations and values.
In this situation, innovations arising in one of the parts (digital / non-digital) of a certain environment, may circulate towards the other part.

The study of this circulation must consider the process of social appropriation of innovations. These innovations may involve relevant changes in practices, representations and values inside the environment.
