Is cooking art or science? Is it both? We live in an age of culinary conservatism, which is bad news for the planet, our taste buds, and our souls. While many of us strive for radical innovations in art, politics, technology and design, why does the world of food and agriculture seem so hopelessly difficult to change?

The Cosmic Brains Round Tables are a three day series of roundtable discussions taking place within the Cosmic Brains workshop. These discussions will feature key speakers in conversation with a group of invited thought leaders, guests and citizens. The goal of these sessions is to foster an immersive, informal and evolving series of conversations around the guests’ work in progress, and to maintain several days of sustained exchanges leading to the public symposium on 25.11.23 to conclude the week.

Democratic Cities: rethinking the future of cities and social transformation

The Democratic Cities international meeting reaches its third edition. On this occasion, Ciudades Democráticas is a joint effort of the cities of Madrid and Barcelona to rethink the future of the city from the prism of citizen participation.

Madrid kicks off with Democratic Cities programming on November 23 in Medialab Prado, with six panels that address the future of participation, random democracy, deliberation processes and the phenomenon of fake news, among other issues.
