Presentation at Empresas de Vivas

On Wednesday, December 9, the workshop for Community Garment Production went offsite to give lectures and training at the business incubator and community center Empresas de Vivas. The audience was composed of persons who ranged from novice to experienced in creating a fashion business or working in the fashion industry.

The first talk was about open source, what it is, how it affects fashion industry, and a discussion of current open source tools to create fashion. This was followed by a discussion of Valentina software and how it is different than other pattern drafting software. An extended Valentina training session was the last section of the presentation.
