Collaboration between Hangar and Interactivos?

As a result of the agreement between the production center Hangar (Barcelona) and Medialab Prado, Hangar offers a two month residency in its laboratory for a participant in the Interactivos? Magic and Technology workshop. The selection was made by the workshop teachers and Hangar's programme committee. The selected artist is Chris Sugrue, who will have the residency between 15th October and 15th November 2007. During this time, she will continue the production process of her project Delicate Boundaries.

Delicate Boundaries is a fictional world where human touch can dissolve the barrier of the computer screen. Using the body as a means of exchange, the system explores the subtle boundaries that exist between foreign systems and what it might mean to cross them. Digital animations move in a life-like simulation until they suddenly swarm out of their virtual confinement onto the skin of a hand or arm when it makes contact with the screen.
