The Estárter project stimulates creation by connecting different knowledge communities in a hybrid geography, stimulating the appearance of new networks, making the most of the possibilities offered by information and communication technologies and through on site meetings, that serve as catalysts for joint work among Colombian creators in Spain and vice versa.

The second phase will take place in Madrid from 7 to 23 June 2010 with the participation of Alejandro Duque, Alejandro Tamayo, Alejandro Araque and Andrés Burbano. The four Colombian artists are teachers at the Interactivos?'10: Ciencia de barrio (Neighbourhood Science) workshop and they will take part in the LabtoLab International Meeting at Medialab-Prado.

Estárter #2 is also an exhibit of their work at the OffLimits Gallery from 7 – 12 June. Its main theme is linked to the Interactivos? workshop. The works are involved in processes that enhance electronic and digital creation in the neighbourhood, at home, in the garage, on the stage, in the countryside, and in the city.

At the Estárter exhibit, we will have the opportunity to enjoy sound and visual pieces, interactive installations, photographs, performances, and a Dorkbot Meeting to be held on Friday 11 June. [+info]
